To follow one's dreams is always the starting point in any interior design project A truly successful design style need not be dependent upon the availability of pots of money. Integrating our personalities into the environment in which we live, feeling comfortable there and happy to be at home should be our first consideration.
In this two bedroom apartment in a prewar building in Boston, the owners cleverly hung their bicycles on the brick wall. Apart from utilizing limited space well, the bicycles have been used creatively as decorative sculptural art on the walls. Together with wood floors, an open floor plan, a new kitchen incorporated into the living design, some formal furnishings and comfortable seating, this is a home thoughtfully organized. Staged against vibrant youthful color, the integrated style is at once welcoming, creative and practical. Friends cherish an invitation here.
