Bedrooms - Everyone needs a peaceful place to sleep.
A bedroom is a particularly personal space where everyone retreats for a bit of serene peace and quiet. To create a space best addressing personal requirements, we offer a few general guidelines:
Make a list of all the things your perfect bedroom should include.
Decide which color offers a peaceful feeling.
Organize the room to accommodate individual needs.
Now, professionally we will tell you how to achieve your goal:
Colors:
Soft blues and soft greens are the most peaceful colors and the most frequently used colors in a bedroom.
When using a neutral, avoid white and head toward a creamy white or perhaps one with a bit of taupe. If you do not have a strong color preference use a warm neutral color.
Avoid all reds because they rev you up too much.
Beds are the reason for the room:
A bed's position should be clearly designated to give real focus to the room.
Position the bed to permit the greatest amount of floor space surrounding it.
The higher the bed, the more important it is in the room. Risers can be purchased in any mass market linen store to raise the height of the bed.
Clothe it attractively with a combination of linens integrated with the wall color choice
Pillows of varying sizes and shapes add interest particularly if it involves a subtle color change
Room arrangement: think of the remainder of the room's furnishings as satellites around a primary planet.
An ideal arrangement includes a chest for each person using the room with a light on that chest.
A comfortable chair
Rugs, or carpets are great in northern climates where warmth is a consideration and a totally unnecessary requirement in tropical climates. Still some prefer carpet or a a rug to soften the presentation of the room.
A bedside table on either side of a queen or king size bed is an essential
Lighting:
Add a lamp to the bedside table and a reading lamp beside the chair.
A lamp on the chest of drawers can add great decorative value.
If the room is particularly large, an attractive chandelier adds glamour, character and panache.
Design Fact:
Bedrooms are generally the first room decorated in the house.
